TMP Alaska receives MOA structural policy for light duty helical piers

As of August 5, 2014 TMP AK has been issued Policy S0.8 for our P1 and P2 helical piers for use in permitted jobs in Anchorage. After several years of discussions between Techno Metal Post Alaska’s engineers and the Municipality we now have a policy that applies to our smaller diameter piles most commonly used for decks and light structures.

Our versatile R2D can fit into just about any space to repair existing foundations that have heaved or settled.

We no longer have to ask for special consideration for each project. If your next project calls for sono tubes, mini piles or helical piers, TMP AK can install our piers under the new policy. When submitting your project for plan review just call out the weight each pile will be supporting on the plans. TMP AK will complete the installation to those specifications and provide you with the required installation report that the field inspector will request. You DO NOT need to specify that helical piers will be used on your plans, just the load per post should be noted.

Our larger P3 pile has been issued an ICC ESR and is not governed by this new policy.

As always if you have any questions or need further information on the permitting process or our products please do not hesitate to call us. We look forward in working with you!!!
