A small cabin addition

The job we wrapped up today was a foundation for a small cabin addition – 24′ x 16′. It also will have a small deck off of the addition as well that I will show in a separate post since we installed the post under an existing deck.

We highlighted some of the access challenges that this job presented in an earlier post; but below is a photo of the trail down to the jobsite.

For the cabin footprint, we added 11 posts to accommodate the addition. The addition will be angled 22.5 degrees off of the existing cabin. You can see one post that we had to skew over 1 foot to avoid hitting the existing water line.

This job required extensions for most posts, and in the photo below we are installing the extensions as we go.
